Wisdom No More

After surgery, face black black and mouth pain pain.

I was having some gum problem with my upper wisdom tooth a week ago and I thought it could be due to heatiness. (发热). The pain was getting unbearable day by day until yesterday afternoon; my hubby said it could be my wisdom tooth that was causing the pain. "Hmmm...alright, now can i request you to do something for me?' I said to my hubby. "Go wash you hands clean clean and try stickin' your finger right into my problematic tooth to see if its really the tooth issue". After some finger works by my hubby for a minute or so, "i think it is really your wisdom tooth, confirmed." my hubby replied.

After some thoughts I decided to visit the dentist before going to work today. Mr. Dentist checked my tooth and, he advised me to have it extracted else the pain will still be there. OMIGOSH!! I was so nervous cos it is more than 25 years since I had my last extraction done. I even joke with the dentist if I can take pictures of the process so that i can put it up in my blog.

The Process Begins...
Firstly he gave me some anesthetic to numb the area where the tooth would be remove.
I can even feel the needle poking into my gum (ouch). Secondly X-rayed to see if there is any complication for the extraction. During the process of extraction I could feel that he is applying great strength onto my tooth, twisted...twisted...more twisting...and pulled!!! (scary!!!)

After The Process...
Stitching was the final step after the extraction to close up the wound. During the procedure I do not dare to open my eyes till he's done with it; then he folded a cotton gauze pad and p
laced it over the wound to stop the bleeding. My face felt numb and swollen after that but it goes off after few hours.

Disgusting right?

The Bill...
The whole procedure took less than an hour and it was all very straightforward till I saw the bill. "How much is the total cost, I asked the lady, $585 she said." My jaw dropped to the ground. What??!! So expensive??!! I nearly fainted, as I expected $250 ~ $ 300 plus. Luckily I was able to use my MediSave to offset the hefty bill.

Well the pain in my mouth is gone but the pain in my wallet just begin...ouch.

1 Month...

Time really flies, it has been one month since Molly passed away; her face and her voice still lingers in my mind. Many things had happened. Till now, i constantly still feels the presence of my sister, kept thinking that she is still lying on her bed resting at her home.

"Wherever I go and whatever I do, Molly is always on my mind."

I went to her house ever now and then; even though she is not there anymore. I would look at all her things, her beautiful photographs taken when she was still around, her clothings hanging in the big white wardrobe ...and it always make me cry.

This month I have been to alot of places; places where Molly loves to hang out; places she wanted to go but never had the chance. She will always be in my heart; be part of me, eternity.

"Molly, Mummy and I missed you so much, but we knew that you are safe in HIS hands and happy right now. Do not worry about us, we will stay strong and positive cos we know that we will meet each other again, eventually."

Another Birthday Lunch

Yesterday, my colleague Clarissa treated me to a belated birthday lunch.

We went to Crystal Jade La
Mian Xiao Long Bao. It was located below our office at Ngee Ann City Tower A level 4.

See what we have ordered :)

a. Steam Pork Dumpling $4.50
The house specialty, quite delicious taste like "Da luo Bao". Wonder how it was wrapped, since it was
extremely soupy on the inside.

b. La Mian in "Sichuan" Style $6.50
The La Mian
(hand-pulled noodles) The noodles were nice and chewy with a strong taste of peanut and sesame sauce which also provided an interesting texture.

c. Radish Pastry $3.80
I introduced the Radish Pastry (used to be 3 pieces and much bigger) to Clarissa and she like it. The soft grated radish wrapped in crispy and aromatic pastry skin. Nice...

Thank you Clarissa for the yummy lunch.

Smell Nice Nice

Nowadays I'm so addicted to fragrance oil, I have a total of 9 bottles. I particularly like those from Body Shop, especially Lavender, Sandalwood & Green Tea. I also have White Rose (from Molly), Vanilla and Fresh Lavender which I bought from other stores. Lavender is the best, I really like the smell. The fragrances from Body Shop price are not expensive, original price is $8.90 and sometimes during sale you paid only $7.10 for it. Cheap...!!!

I use Lavender fragrance both in the office and at home. I want my surrounding to smell nice and most importantly Lavender can really calm me down and makes me sleep better...zzzz. (of course, I didnt sleep during working :p ) So for those people out there who had sleeping problem, quick go grab it now.

Lavender

Balancing, soothing, normalizing,
calming, relaxing, healing.

Green Tea
Comforting and reviving. It relieves
anxiety and depression.

Sandalwood
As soft and smooth as cashmere this is a
fabulously spicy and woody fragrance.
Relaxing, centering, sensual.

White Rose

Rare and precious; the white rose emits an intense aroma that balances the female hormones and sedates your mind to ease any sign of discomfort.

Vanilla
Calming, comforting, balancing.

Joy Ride

Not too long ago, I visited Sentosa and had an extremely great time with the bunch of the VM guys from my company during an 'official' outing; there are a total 9 of us (Zainal, Soon Teck, Suhaini, Iskandar, Alice, Nicolas, Audrene, Anas and me of cos). We took the Sentosa Express from VivoCity; and we reach there in less than four minutes…

We alighted at Imbiah Station for our the 'Luge & Skyride'. It was situated near Mount Imbiah and the ride up to the top took about 5 minutes and it was an exciting ride. The combo ride cost $10 per person.

Check out their expression :) heehee...

The four-seater skyride would take you to the top where you can get into a luge cart; and race down or cruise leisurely along a 650 metres paved track which finishes at the hip siloso beach.

*
Suhaini, Alice & Iskandar in number 65 chairlift and Audrene, Soon teck & Anas in number 1 chairlift.

*Nicolas, Zainal & me we are the last one, we took the number 2 chairlift (can't see Nicolas in the picture as he was sitting away.

Must see, very funny!!!

We took these pictures before going for the luge ride. If you like go-carts, you'll definitely enjoy this! No engine power, works purely on gravity. It's easy to steer and stop, making it possible and safe for everyone over the height of 1.2m.

Do you think both Audrene and Soon Teck look cute? Wondering what was the boy behind thinking?

How about me? Cute right? Looks slim hor???

Now I understand why the tag line "Once is never enough! You just want to keep coming back for more." I want to play again!!!!!!

We Love Bowling

We (Molly, Yee Hwee and me) enjoyed bowling even though we are not good at it and the ball always ended inside the "long gao" heehee...

12th March
About 3 months ago i went bowling with our Mum and Aunty Jean at Marina Square. It is the day that I will always remembered; as it is also our last bowling with Molly. We had a wonderful lunch at the 'Thai Express ' dining place before we headed for the bowling game. The lunch was delicious; as we managed to finished all the food (we are very small eater :p); my little cousin Ywee Hwee whopped up the entire plate of soft shell crabs all by herself.

The game started. It was fun (from the look of our smiling faces) and Yee Hwee was very thoughtful to bring along her digital camera to captured all our "beautiful" posed. Though all of us can't really bowl well but we really enjoyed ourselves very much that day. And the following day after bowling game; Molly complained of bodyache and we were all worried because of that.

My Sunday

10:30am
Visited Molly; and done up a nice flower arrangement for her ; p

When I first visited the place 2 weeks ago; i found a bird nest build onto one of the 'unit' with 2 eggs in it; 2 weeks after the egg had already hatched into 2 little cute tiny birdies.

12pm
Left Chua Cho Kang and went to Tampines Ikea for lunch with my hubby; and bought 2 packets of tealights for my daily aromatherapy.

1:30pm
Went to Pasir Ris Farmway to look at cute doggies.

My Favourite Adorable Little Cousin

Time really flies, the cute little girl that my mum used to babysit has already grown up. Her name is
Yee Hwee and she is 10 this year. We (my mum, molly and me) really enjoy her company cos she is always so cheerful and happy little girl. She is a bright girl; good in her studies and talented too; she plays piano like Richard Clayderman; swims like Josceline Yeo.

I feels that she is very mature for her age; she observed; she listened; and be able to comprehend quite
alot of things like an adult. For example during those days when my sister did her chemotherapy she would called to ask how she is; she prayed to god to bless my sister; and occasionally she would call my mum to tell her that how much she loves her. She is a natural born jester; with her around you will never be upset. Sometimes when I'm feeling down, I will call and chit chat with her. She can really makes your day.

The Gifts

"Molly and me loves to shop and we enjoy buying gifts for each other"

On 9th May last month, i happened to come across a limited edition of "Molly the Painter Watch" published in the daily chinese "My Paper". The first thing that came to my mind was to purchase it for Molly cos it bears the word 'Molly' on it. This watch comes in only 1000 pieces in Singapore; and with a unique serial number of each own. Coincidently Molly's watch serial is 0875 which was exactly her birthday month and year.

After getting the watch i anxiously passed it to her but during that time she was not feeling too well to notice it so i place it on her table and left. The next moment she SMSed me
"I open up oreadi. Pleasant surprise! I like it alot. Thank you"; and follow by another message "Thanks. Its very stylo". I am so happy that she liked the watch so much. Now she had left us; I wear it ever now and then; to remind me of her dearly.

"My
last gifts from Molly"...
Molly bought me a big 'diamond' ring and a pink metal butterfly bangle after she went for drainage @ KK hospital on 20th May; she also buy for herself the similar bangle. I treasure it alot as it was the last gift given by her, a gift which I will treasure and remember forever...

Birthday Lunch

Any one of you like pasta? I love pasta and especially Carbonara; that is my favorite. My colleagues treated me to a belated birthday lunch today at 'Shokudo Japanese Pasta & Pizza' (located at level 2 of Orchard cineleisure). Each of us picked our choice of pasta and on top of that we ordered pizza and desserts. I like the ultra-thin crust pizza, we tried the one with mashed potato with cheese, very yummy. They have others choices like Seafood, Mentaiko (Cod Roe), Ebi and so on.. Also the desserts are delicious too! This pasta lunch reminded me of my Molly.

Molly and I both loves pasta, I remembered right after her drainage (she required weekly removal of her cancer fluid in her tummy) at KK hospital; she craved for pasta and so we went to 'Pasta de Waraku' at the Square 2 on last month 6th May. We ordered 'Tofu & Tomato with Cheese' sauce and 'Scallop & Asparagus with wafu' sauce spaghetti, yummy ^^. We talked alot; and she shared with me on her feelings and thoughts even though she don't have any appetite to even finished her food. Actually whenever we are together; and sometimes with my mum; we would talk and talk non stop, like no tomorrow. (cos we simply just love gossiping about people, heehee..)

Thank you Zainal, Lorraine, Soon Teck, Jan & Fizah for the lovely lunch :)

Molly My Dearest Sister

Wide Awake, by Emi Fujita (lyrics)
--------------------------------------------------
The dawn breaks slowly in the east
- as day defeats the night
The echo of your voice that greets
The feeble morning light
Is the only answer to my silent prayer
And the promises i never make
You are always with me - your always there
In my dreams - though i am wide awake

And sometimes a forbidden glance
Will give my heart away
The light that kindled our romance
May flicker through the gray
All the gold and silver at the rainbows end
All earthly goods - i'll forsake
For each shooting star - a wish i send
And i dream - though i am wide awake

You were the rolling tidal wave
That swept my barren shores
If you will let me share your day
My life's forever yours
I will never understand the reason why
We fail to learn from our mistakes
I will wait for you as the days go by
With my dream - though i am wide awake

Kungfu Panda

Went to watch Kungfu Panda tonight with my hubby. The animation is entertaining and amusing but I'm not able to enjoy it. Half way through I fell asleep and start feeling moody after that. I was thinking of the lasted movie that I have had watched with my sister during last September 2007, it was also an animation movie called 'Ratatouille'.

I remembered after a hearty lunch at Fish & Co., we went to Cathay cinema together with my mummy and our favourite little cousin; we chose 2 couple seats, bought a box of popcorn and a cup of cola. My cousin was sitting with my mummy and me, with my sister.

"I missed you Molly"

Throughout my journey back home after Kungfu Panda, I remained silent; oh how I missed my sister so much; I cried in silent with tears rolling down my cheek and in my heart.

1 week...

Time files, is already been one week since Molly's cremation day, which also falls on my 35 birthday.

The feeling of sudden lost of my little beloved sister is traumatizing, till now i still cannot accept the fact that she has had departed us. Too soon, too young. My mum, from the outside she displays strong and kept consoling me, but deep inside i knew she is feeling as much pain as i am right now. After Molly left us, i was feeling down and taken a week leave from work; and my 'strong' mummy stays with me to keep me company but somehow, i felt the other way round though.

Setting up this blog is actually a promised to Molly; she has been asking me to start a blog displaying or should i say showcasing my interest in food making such as sushi, pastries and more. (She likes my cucumber and seasoned bean curd sushi~) So as a promise to her (ah li) i am starting right now!

I will be going back to work tomorrow and will be busy with work (after a week break); i hope it would temporary release me of the pain thinking of her.
