Avatar

Both my hubby and me were on leave today, we went to Downtown East to watch Avatar. We paid $13 per ticket to experience the 3D effect. The lasted 3D movie I had ever watched was Jaws(during the '80s), i remembered watching it with Molly, my cousin Ah Boy & Ah P, my mum and godmum. The 3D glasses at that time was made of paper and cost 50cents each,
considered quite expensive during that period and we even had to share the glasses.
The 3D glasses definitely has gotten better in terms of quality but after finishing the 161minutes movie, I feel a headache and eyes popping, the glasses is not comfortable at all. Don't think I will watch any more 3D movie again since I had already experience it.

Me in the 3D glasses, heehee...

Avatar is the story of an ex-Marine who finds himself thrust into hostilities on an alien planet filled with exotic life forms. As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the indigenous people. More than ten years in the making, Avatar marks Cameron's return to feature directing since helming 1997's Titanic, the highest grossing film of all time and winner of eleven Oscars including Best Picture. WETA Digital, renowned for its work in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and King Kong, will incorporate new intuitive CGI technologies to transform the environments and characters into photo realistic 3D imagery that will transport the audience into the alien world rich with imaginative vistas, creatures and characters.
The show is entertaining, the computer graphics is fantastic, especially the night scene and no wonder it took 15 years to make this movie.
