My Mood Antidote
Dark chocolate is a 'must have' food when I am feeling down or stress. Two days ago as I was feeling a little moody, I took 2 tiny bars of Merci Dark Cream chocolate. The chocolate did cure my mood but I had a sore throat after that :(
Here's something which I came across on the web.
The 5 Benefits of Dark Chocolate:
- Studies have shown dark chocolate to lower blood pressure.
- Studies have also shown dark chocolate to lower bad cholesterol (LDL).
- It turns women on more than a passionate kissing session (no wonder they want it for Valentine's Day!).
- Contains serotonin, a natural mood-boosting anti-depressant.
- Stimulates pleasure-inducing endorphin production.

Sanrio Festival
My $19.95 Hello Kitty Bag.
I was at the Sanrio Festival at Takashimaya Talking Hall during my lunch time. I am definately not a fan of Hello Kitty and also too old for that cute little cat but guess what; I actually bought one bag from there! I have been looking around for a suitable bag to carry my new bible and 2 files for my weekly Sunday church, the bag has to be tough cos the bible is quite heavy though. After getting the bag, I began to feel like a 'Lau Lian'; still cannot believe i own a Hello Kitty bag.
P.S Spend $100 and you can become a member.

Departure Lunch
Today, we(my hubby and me) send my mum to T3 for her 8 days Huangshan/ Wuyuan/ Hongcun and Shanghai tour. Envy! I can't go with her because I have only 2 days annual leave left :(
We brought my mum for a yummy lunch at Fish & Co at T2 before boarding the plane. We ordered seafood platter, Al Fungi Spaghetti and Hot Fudge Cake. The Hot Fudge Cake was super delicious...is a must try dessert after your main dish; and it was my very first time ordering it. The brownie was serve warm with hot fudge on top and a scope of vanilla ice-cream to go with it. Very sinful but very yummy yummy! (Happy Tummy!!)

I hope that my mum will enjoy herself for this trip. Bon Voyage~
Nafarian Gathering

Us, 16 years ago... during our Nafa time.
Yesterday, we(my hubby & me were from the same school) have a gathering with some of our ex-Nafa classmates at VivoCity. Meeting up with old friends that you have not seen for 16 over years and seeing how much they have change now is actually quite fun :)
The "BonBon Tea" was the initial meeting place. Adrian suggested the place as he said he can get some discount, but he left early so we did not get to see him. After looking through the menu for more than 10 minutes; we gave up! The food they are offering did not really appeal to me or my hubby. It consisted of very simple food like pizza (ultra thin type); some finger food and worst still; the price was crazy. Personally I feels that the place was more suitable for afternoon tea rather than sitting down and have a proper filling meal. But anyhow I quite like the ambiance as it has a simple decor and quiet; a relax place to catch up with friends. Evetually we decided to change location as some of them said that they "Jia bay pa" (cannot fill up their tummy with the food they had just taken earlier ago before we came)

See how much we have change especially David, he look like a "Da Lau Ban" (Big Boss) heehee...
We settled our dinner at "Shin Kushiya" a Japanese charcoal gill restaurant.
Thanks Kee Bee for organising the gathering, there were lots of sharing & jokes.
Looking forward to the next gathering.

Changi Village
My hubby and i went to Stamford Tyres to have our car tyres rotate. I decided to follow along because I wanted to eat my favourite food at Changi Village heehee...
Blue blue sky, very hot and sunny today.
Our lunch: Nasi Lemak (price increase to $3 from $2.5 previously), Dark Carrot Cake and Coconut juice. Not forgetting our takeaway of fried wantons and fried fritters.
During our meal, we heard a commotion; someone was shouting aloud and then we saw a police officer commanding a guy to stop running or else..(the policeman was panting real hard, must be chasing him for some distant). He took out a stick ready to strike at him, and the guy eventually cease running and sat down. After some interrogation, he was handcuffed and quietly walked away with the man in blue. I wonder what offense did he commited?!?

The Pink Ribbon
I have bought a Pink Ribbon Pin to support for the Breast Cancer Awareness last month when I was at KK hospital for my ultra sound scanning.
The Pink Ribbon is the international symbol of awareness and hope for women living with breast cancer. Every year, the Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) produces a Pink Ribbon pin to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. If you're spotted wearing one in October 2008, you could win attractive prizes!
P.S. I didn't buy it to win prizes :)

Korean Drama DVD
I like to watch Korean drama and after our lunch at Dian Xiao Er and I bought these 2 dvds from TS. There was a 60% discount for each of the dvd, good deal! worth it!($39.95 for 2 drama). Molly had watched "Merry Mary" and she said that it was a very funny. The other show which I bought was "Cruel Love", it was acted by my idol Kwon Sang Woo, this will be another typical sad korean drama. I idolize him after watching "Stairway to Heaven". He's one good looking hunk :P

Dian Xiao Er
My mum, my hubby and me went to Dian Xiao Er at Causeway Point for our lunch today and it was on my mum. heehee...
We ordered their house specialties which are; Duck Roasted with Angelina(danggui), House Special Xiao Er Tofu, Fishmaw Seafood and Kangkong with Sambal. The Duck Roasted with Angeline has got a strong herbal favor with a slight bitter taste. The Xiao Er Tofu was crispy on the outside with soft interior seafood taste. The Fishmaw Seafood was very light and I preferred to add vinegar for a stronger taste. Of all the dishes, Kangkong Sambal was my favourite.
Specially For Our Molly
Molly loved sushi that is why I bought this mini sushi set specially for her. I have been searching at different places for this particular type. In one of her smsed she said "I am craving for sushi. Its the first thing i wan to eat after i feel better"; and followed by another smsed "I wan cucumber type, corn type, tuna type. Nonid to make today la. Another day". And on that day I made all the sushi which she had mentioned. I always tried my best to fulfilled Molly's requested no matter how, all because she is my one and only dearest sister.
I have the sushi put up today and some happy flowers for her too :)
